Robber's Rocks
Well, I didn't get to do my camping trip over Thanksgiving because I managed to tweak my back doing something and the idea of spending the cold night on the ground just didn't appeal to me. I did however have a nice cook-out up on the Moonlight Mesa and enjoyed the coyotes howling when they caught whiff of my bbq'ing turkey legs....
I posted this shot of the "Robber's Roust" that I had stumbled across this summer (when the pic was taken) and I have been planning a return this winter equiped with a metal detector. I hope to find some old spent shell cases from the day-long gunfight that happened here back in the 1800's or even a spur or two! I had to wait till winter because the sun would broil your brain if you tried metal detecting out there in the heat of the day.
I'll let you know what I find!
