A Desert Mystery Solved?
You know I've posted pics of car wrecks I've found out in my desert travels and have always wondered how and why they got there....well, I might have an answer....
I met an old man who lives out by where I shot this pic and he told me many of these cars are stolen and abandoned vechicles. He said he's called the state troopers many a time to come and ID some wreck and haul it away. Many are never claimed and are just left to rust away where they were left by the thieves. We won't even speculate how many bodies are out there in forgotten graves too....
...which is why another old-timer out there told me to always carry a gun when exploring, you might come upon something you never expected! Of course, being an American, I always have my "life Insurance" with me when I'm out in the wilderness;)
"Better judged by twelve than carried by six" the old gunfighters would say and I agree!
Have fun but be safe out there. The desert is truly an adventure waiting to happen.
