Into The Desert
Got your GPS, maps, water and a good sharp knife? Good! You're ready to head out into the desert for some fun!
My favorite part of the day...loaded up and heading out into the desert for another adventure. Sometimes I just like to pick an old dirt road or trail on the map and follow it to see where it leads or comes out. You'd be surprised how many times I've found stuff you wouldn't dream was out there.
Like what?
Well, I've found ghost towns, old mines, indian campsites, but probably one of the coolest was coming across a guy living out there who made sculpture out of old iron scrap he picked up in the desert. He had his whole place made out of it and it looked like something out of "The Road Warrior". A real fort-like compound complete with turrets and a watch tower.
He was convinced UFO's were coming and had mentally "desired" him to build the place as a refuge for them....okay, sure thing....
I'll post some pics soon of other wild stuff I've found out there, so stay tuned desert lovers!
