Dinner In The Desert
Although the scenery isn't that spectacular in this shot, it captures what I love about the desert so much - open space and freedom.
I had stopped to cook out and watch the sun go down over the mesa (up in North Joshua Tree, Ca) and grabbed this snap. I always carry my little cook kit, folding chair and a cooler so I can take advantage of any awesome place I find to stop and have a meal.
I happened to be out searching for old desert junkyards and decided to kick back for a bit, like I said. I had just found a really cool site that had more desert wrecks, which I'll post a pic of next time.
I heard there was an old crashed bomber from WW2 out here, but I haven't found it yet - guess I'll have to keep searching...and cooking out!
Rough job, but somebody has to do it!;)
