Johnson Valley Desert Camp
This shot is up in Johnson Valley near Cougar Buttes. I was doing some photography and had found a nice little rocky enclosure to build my camp in.
Johnson Valley (in the high desert of souther California) is a popular place for 4-wheelers and off road vehicles. There are miles and miles of rocky terrain and open desert to explore. You've probably seen is a million times if you like to read 4-wheeler magazines. Seems like they're always having a shoot or get together up there.
You can reach it by taking the I-10 to Hwy 62 till you reach Yucca Valley, then take Hwy 247 north about 35 miles to Johnson Valley.
Just be sure to bring LOTS of water, it gets really hot out there!
It's the desert, right?;)
