Desert Wrecks
One cool thing in the desert is coming across an old wreck while out exploring. I always wonder what was the story behind it? Did somebody just decide to dump it there? Was it abandoned after a tragedy?
And they always seem to be in the most remote and forlorn areas. Sometimes they really have an "end of the road" feel to them.
I found this old fiftie's era car out by the Coyote Dry lake bed in Joshua Tree. It's been there a while, as you can tell by the complete rust finish.... and about a million bullet holes.
How the hell did they get it up the sandy washes? And why? I'd love to know the story.
Just another cool thing to explore in the desert!
